The second edition of the International Congress on Dimension Stones (ICDS) will be held in Carrara, Italy, on 29th - 31st May 2008.
Dimension stones: 21st century challenges is the subject of the congress; paper related to all the aspects of the sector - including study of materials, technology and market - will be presented as well as debates and technical sessions will be held.
After the previous appointmente in 2005 in Brazil, the ICDS consolidates its identity as the major convention for all the international stone business and research protagonists.
This event welcomes researchers, professionals, technicians and students interested in improving their knowledge of the applied geology, the application of new technologies in exploitation and characterization of natural stones and their sustainable use.
We invite professionals, institutions and related non-governmental organizations to carry out round tables and oral/poster sessions during the Congress.
The aim is to promote the fundamental scientific and technological cooperation in the field of natural stones and to promulgate new ideas and innovative experiences among scientists, technicians and quarry managers.
